ABSTRAK :
The management of cadet profiles at the Indonesian Air Force Academy (AAU)
currently relies on a manual system. This system has several drawbacks, including
vulnerability to human error, limited real-time accessibility, and inefficiency in data retrieval
and processing. As a result, decision-making processes related to academic record-keeping
are often hindered and may lead to inaccurate information.
This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system integrated
with a MySQL database to address the existing problems in managing AAU cadet profiles.
The system is developed using the Waterfall methodology, which includes the stages of
requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. It is expected to
automate the processes of data entry, storage, processing, and retrieval of cadet profiles.
Furthermore, the system is designed to provide secure and user-friendly access for all relevant
stakeholders, including academic staff, administrative personnel, and the cadets themselves.
The implementation of this web-based information system is expected to enhance the
efficiency and effectiveness of cadet profile management at AAU. It is also anticipated to
reduce the potential for data errors, improve the accuracy of information, and facilitate data
analysis for evaluation and decision-making purposes. Additionally, the system is projected
to make a significant contribution to supporting educational activities and the career
development of AAU cadets by providing relevant and up-to-date information.
