ABSTRAK :
The development of technology has entered into all areas of life, including the field of librarianship. Library users need a way to search for documents, when opening documents one by one manually then it will take a very long time. To automate the search is by using a computer application that is directly open a document based on the keywords desired by the user. With this application can help the students to know the final title that has been there and can make a new final title.
In this final project, method used is the method of Knuth-Morris-Pratt. Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm is used to perform string matching process. This algorithm is a kind of Exact String Matching Algorithm which is an exact string matching the arrangement of characters in a string that has matched the number or sequence of characters in the same string.
This application is really very useful because it speeds the search for a desired keyword student. Therefore the students do not have to search for the title of the final task manually one by one in the library.
