ABSTRAK
Transportasi udara adalah salah satu alternatif yang bisa dipilih untuk perjalanan menengah hingga jarak yang jauh. Salah satu alasan pemilihan jalur udara adalah waktu tempuh yang relatif lebih cepat. Kota Banda Aceh dan Lhokseumawe merupakan 2 kota besar di Provinsi Aceh, yang mana Banda Aceh merupakan Ibukota Provinsi Aceh dan Lhokseumawe adalah kotamadya yang keduanya sama-sama memiliki potensi wisata yang cukup besar di provinsi Aceh.
Analisis pembukaan rute pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan analisis pemilihan pesawat, aspek pasar, dan menghitung biaya operasional yang akan dikeluarkan untuk sekali trip pada rute Lhokseumawe – Banda Aceh.
Rute Lhokseumawe – Banda Aceh menggunakan pesawat ATR72-500, dengan jarak penerbangan dari Bandara Malikussaleh ke Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda adalah adalah 123,22 nm. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan total operating cost adalah Rp 37.351.170,20. Sehingga harga tiket dasar dengan profit 15% adalah Rp 1.491.452,98 (pada kondisi seat factor 40%) dan Rp 596.581,19 (pada kondisi seat factor 100%). Sedangkan harga tiket dasar dengan profit 20% adalah Rp. 1.556.298,76 (pada kondisi seat factor 40%) dan Rp 622.519,50 (pada kondisi seat factor 100%).

ABSTRACT
Air transportation is an alternative that can be chosen for medium to long distance travel. One of the reasons for choosing the air route is the relatively faster travel time. Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe are 2 major cities in Aceh, which Banda Aceh is the capital of Aceh Province and Lhokseumawe is a municipality, both of the city have considerable tourism potential in the province of Aceh.
The opening route analysis in this study was carried out by analyzing aircraft selection, market aspects, and calculating the operational costs that will be incurred for one trip on the Lhokseumawe - Banda Aceh.
The Lhokseumawe - Banda Aceh route uses a ATR72-500 plane, the flight distance from Malikussaleh Airport to Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport is 123.22 nm. From the calculation results, the total operating cost is IDR 37,351,170.20. So that the basic fare ticket price with profit 15% is IDR 1,491,452.98 (for seat factor 40%) and IDR 596,581.19 (for seat factor 100%).
