ABSTRAK :
Currently, the growth of airlines is increasing rapidly so that business competition becomes tighter to gain maximum profit. One way to get interest from prospective passengers is to provide ticket rates at low prices. Fortunately the airline is not seen in terms of ticket sales and it is absolute. Another factor that has great influence is also from choosing the right type of aircraft and accordingly. Because it will be more profitable if the aircraft operating costs are lower. And many of the factors that influence it include the maximum weight of aircraft from aircraft obtained from take off run on the runway, especially at Adisutjipto International Airport and total operational costs. The maximum weight analysis of the aircraft obtained was calculated using ARFL and also based on the take-off graph of runway length requirement. The total operational cost calculation consists of direct operational costs (DOC) and indirect operational costs (IOC). In comparison each airplane for operational cost is determined every hour of flight and each trip Based on the authors' calculations, the more economical type of aircraft between Boeing 737-800NG and Boeing 737-900ER on international flights route Adisutjipto - Halim Perdanakusuma international airport is Boeing 737-900ER, because the total operational cost of Boeing 737-900ER is smaller or Low and the percentage of BEP smaller than the Boeing 737-800NG. Keywords :Direct operating Cost (DOC), Indirect Operating cost (IOC), Economic
