ABSTRAK :
Gong Waning is a traditional musical instrument Sikka district. These instruments can be played simultaneously to form a rhythm. In the modern era of traditional art is very difficult Gong Waning grow and become increasingly marginalized. It required a technology that can facilitate recognition and learning musical instruments Gong Waning. Gong Waning animation created using 3ds.Max 2010 Gong emphasizes animation and sound design in accordance with the Gong Waning tone of the original instrument. This application can be run on desktop-based operating systems. Testing the use of this application is to hover your mouse and then clicking on the image in a certain tone instrument to produce sound on the instrument being played. After that also can see the video animation tempo sound that has been played. With the creation of the animation is expected to provide ease of playing musical instruments Gong Waning. The results of the question of application testing using Likert questionnaire showed 80.26%, so it can be concluded that the application of 3D animation Gong Waning can run very well.
