ABSTRAK :
metals are tabulated. In this study, test on the thermal conductivity of commonly
produced copper, aluminium and stainless steel were conducted. In addition,
evaporation time of the same materials were tested. The purpose of this study was
to investigate the K value and the effect of the evaporation time to the liquid
(water).
The study was conducted by heating the materials using iron plates as a
heated heater using induction stove. The data obtained were in the form of
temperature at the points of the data and also the heating time for testing thermal
conductivity. Meanwhile, the evaporation time testing showed the duration of
water evaporation time.
The results showed that the highest K value was at the copper
(392.7559J/msoC), and then the aluminum (206.6966J/msoC) and the lowest was
the stainless steel (46.6289J/msoC). Meanwhile, the evaporation time test showed
that the fastest evaporation time to the water was at the copper and then the
aluminium and the slowest was at the stainless steel as noted that the evaporation
has not entered into the film boiling phase. In condusion, the highest the K value
the fastest the materials evaporate water
